WEBVTT

00:31.250 --> 00:34.125
[Marrok] Tell me... everything.

00:35.000 --> 00:36.375
[Lawson] We walked into an ambush.

00:37.167 --> 00:39.250
Most of my team didn't make it out.

00:40.125 --> 00:43.249
[Marrok] Yet, you survived.

00:43.250 --> 00:44.542
Lucky me, right?

00:46.167 --> 00:48.957
[Rook Kast] Imperial forces
are spreading out across the city.

00:48.958 --> 00:51.041
A full lockdown is imminent.

00:51.042 --> 00:53.667
Perhaps we should consider
relocating to another system.

00:54.500 --> 00:55.999
[winces, groans softly]

00:56.000 --> 00:57.083
[Maul] No, not yet.

00:58.000 --> 00:59.957
Stick to the plan.

00:59.958 --> 01:01.082
Yes, My Lord.

01:01.083 --> 01:03.207
[Chief] You're aware
this is not going to go well?

01:03.208 --> 01:05.082
[Lawson] It was my mission that failed.

01:05.083 --> 01:06.249
I'll take the blame.

01:06.250 --> 01:08.666
Could be worse.
It's not like we were harboring Jedi.

01:08.667 --> 01:10.457
[Rook Kast] Is this about the girl?

01:10.458 --> 01:12.249
She tried to kill you.

01:12.250 --> 01:14.749
[Maul] An admirable attempt.
She will make an excellent apprentice.

01:14.750 --> 01:16.374
[Master Daki] We can't leave the city.

01:16.375 --> 01:18.124
- [stormtrooper 1] Freeze!
- [people exclaim]

01:18.125 --> 01:20.332
[Master Daki] It's best
if we find a safe place to hide.

01:20.333 --> 01:21.499
[Devon] Where, Master?

01:21.500 --> 01:23.916
We don't exactly have
a lot of contacts here.

01:23.917 --> 01:25.499
[Master Daki] We only need one.

01:25.500 --> 01:26.917
[♪ dramatic music playing]

01:35.917 --> 01:37.917
[♪ suspenseful music playing]

01:39.333 --> 01:40.333
[ships whirring]

01:48.500 --> 01:50.500
[breathing deeply]

01:51.583 --> 01:53.583
[♪ tense, rhythmic music playing]

02:00.250 --> 02:02.250
[breathing rapidly]

02:09.125 --> 02:10.125
[exhales]

02:14.667 --> 02:16.667
[continues breathing rapidly]

02:26.000 --> 02:30.333
My Lord, there is something
you should see.

02:31.292 --> 02:33.292
[♪ unsettling music playing]

03:10.208 --> 03:12.375
[♪ dramatic music playing]

03:18.125 --> 03:21.791
Your son was kind enough to invite us in
while we waited for you.

03:21.792 --> 03:25.333
Great. Tea time is over.
You need to go. Now.

03:30.167 --> 03:32.375
Dad? What... What's going on?

03:33.500 --> 03:34.667
Devon.

03:35.250 --> 03:38.083
Perhaps you and the captain's son
could give us a moment.

03:39.750 --> 03:40.832
[sighs softly]

03:40.833 --> 03:44.542
All right.
Rylee, let's let the grownups talk.

03:45.417 --> 03:46.667
Yeah, sure.

03:46.792 --> 03:48.957
Uh, come on.

03:48.958 --> 03:50.917
Make sure she doesn't steal anything.

03:55.542 --> 03:58.666
Do you know what the Empire
will do to me, to Rylee,

03:58.667 --> 04:01.291
if they find out
we're even talking to you?

04:01.292 --> 04:05.750
I imagine it would not be dissimilar
to what they planned for Devon and myself.

04:06.417 --> 04:07.917
Perhaps it's time I explained.

04:08.750 --> 04:11.458
My name is Jedi Master Eeko-Dio Daki.

04:12.208 --> 04:14.374
My Padawan, Devon, and I barely survived

04:14.375 --> 04:17.958
what could only be described
as a purge of the Jedi Order.

04:18.542 --> 04:21.124
We were only passing through your world.

04:21.125 --> 04:24.292
But the arrival of the Empire
has complicated matters.

04:25.500 --> 04:28.416
We are simply looking
for a place to take refuge.

04:28.417 --> 04:32.166
There is nothing simple
about what you just told me.

04:32.167 --> 04:34.624
Perhaps you have insight
into smuggling routes,

04:34.625 --> 04:36.124
criminal passages,

04:36.125 --> 04:37.542
anything that could help us.

04:37.958 --> 04:39.041
[sighs wearily]

04:39.042 --> 04:42.999
Look, I'm no friend of the Empire,
believe me.

04:43.000 --> 04:44.749
But I've got a kid to think about.

04:44.750 --> 04:45.917
I'm sorry.

04:48.583 --> 04:49.832
Nice room.

04:49.833 --> 04:50.833
[objects rustling]

04:52.292 --> 04:53.374
Is that your mom?

04:53.375 --> 04:56.291
What? Oh, yeah.

04:56.292 --> 04:58.166
She and Dad, they, uh...

04:58.167 --> 05:00.167
They're not together right now.

05:01.667 --> 05:05.041
She got a job working for the Empire
on Coruscant,

05:05.042 --> 05:06.457
uh, but I stayed here.

05:06.458 --> 05:09.000
You know, I've got school and the team.

05:09.708 --> 05:11.042
What, like sports?

05:11.917 --> 05:13.333
You don't know botekin?

05:14.000 --> 05:15.666
You must not have grown up
around here, then.

05:15.667 --> 05:18.125
It's... It's pretty popular.
[chuckles softly]

05:19.208 --> 05:22.917
Yeah. I'm pretty sure my life growing up
was a little different than yours.

05:24.292 --> 05:25.375
Yeah.

05:27.083 --> 05:30.582
[Lawson] The Empire sent someone
to interrogate me about Maul.

05:30.583 --> 05:34.167
I heard one of the troopers
call him an Inquisitor.

05:35.042 --> 05:36.458
What did you tell him?

05:37.042 --> 05:39.083
Nothing about you, obviously.

05:39.708 --> 05:43.083
They let me go,
but I don't know if he believed me.

05:44.833 --> 05:47.041
[whirring nearby]

05:47.042 --> 05:50.082
[♪ tense music playing]

05:50.083 --> 05:52.375
Devon, we must leave. Now.

06:00.292 --> 06:02.000
- Jedi.
- [Devon grunts]

06:02.500 --> 06:04.250
- No, wait.
- Rylee, get back!

06:05.083 --> 06:06.707
- Run!
- [Lawson] Come on!

06:06.708 --> 06:08.250
[lightsabers buzzing]

06:11.083 --> 06:13.792
Who is that? Are they Jedi?
What's happening?

06:15.500 --> 06:17.292
This keeps getting better.

06:20.042 --> 06:21.125
Come on.

06:22.375 --> 06:23.458
[Devon grunting]

06:27.375 --> 06:28.666
Protect them.

06:28.667 --> 06:30.042
- Master, but I--
- Go!

06:31.500 --> 06:32.625
[grunting]

06:33.333 --> 06:35.333
[♪ tense music continues]

06:39.500 --> 06:40.500
[groans]

06:46.458 --> 06:48.250
[groans]

06:57.292 --> 06:59.292
[♪ tense music continues]

07:08.083 --> 07:09.583
[stormtrooper] Freeze! Stop right there!

07:10.583 --> 07:12.333
Stand down! Drop your weapon!

07:13.792 --> 07:16.082
Dad, it's the Empire. What are you doing?

07:16.083 --> 07:17.166
Rylee, stay down!

07:17.167 --> 07:20.082
Hey, Lawson.
Maybe the roof wasn't the best plan.

07:20.083 --> 07:23.250
Maybe showin' up on my doorstep
wasn't the best plan.

07:24.167 --> 07:26.124
[stormtroopers groaning]

07:26.125 --> 07:27.458
[lasers firing]

07:28.542 --> 07:29.917
- Hit her!
- [Devon grunts loudly]

07:31.125 --> 07:32.333
[stormtrooper groans]

07:35.292 --> 07:36.832
[Devon grunting]

07:36.833 --> 07:39.291
Devon, transport, now!

07:39.292 --> 07:41.542
[stormtrooper over speakers]
Stand down, or we will open fire.

07:44.250 --> 07:45.250
[grunting]

07:46.292 --> 07:47.292
What the...

07:48.000 --> 07:49.000
[screams]

07:57.500 --> 07:58.666
Onto the ship.

07:58.667 --> 08:00.667
[♪ tense music continues]

08:05.292 --> 08:07.333
- [Devon gasps softly]
- [lightsaber whooshes]

08:38.708 --> 08:40.582
You ever flown one of these before?

08:40.583 --> 08:41.833
Not exactly.

08:47.625 --> 08:49.124
Go over it. Over it!

08:49.125 --> 08:50.291
You want to fly this thing?

08:50.292 --> 08:51.792
Yes. You're gonna get us ki--

08:57.292 --> 08:58.292
[screams]

08:58.625 --> 08:59.958
[groans]

09:02.125 --> 09:03.500
You were saying?

09:04.125 --> 09:05.125
[sighs softly]

09:09.625 --> 09:11.124
[Lawson grunts]

09:11.125 --> 09:13.582
That little maneuver
won't lose him for long.

09:13.583 --> 09:15.374
You know they can track this thing, right?

09:15.375 --> 09:18.000
None of this makes any sense.
Why is the Empire after us?

09:19.000 --> 09:21.333
The Empire isn't
what you think it is, son. [grunts]

09:23.417 --> 09:25.042
[♪ tense music playing]

09:26.042 --> 09:27.417
[Lawson grunts]

09:31.042 --> 09:32.042
Hang on!

09:37.375 --> 09:38.542
[lasers firing]

09:42.292 --> 09:43.292
[Devon grunts]

09:49.333 --> 09:50.957
Hurry! They're coming back around.

09:50.958 --> 09:52.875
[♪ tense music continues]

10:04.417 --> 10:09.207
[announcer over PA] Imperial Registration
is the best proven policy in the galaxy.

10:09.208 --> 10:11.208
[indistinct chatter]

10:18.292 --> 10:20.458
I didn't expect this
to escalate so quickly.

10:21.250 --> 10:23.541
[Two-Boots] The Empire appears
to greatly value efficiency,

10:23.542 --> 10:25.332
which I find commendable.

10:25.333 --> 10:28.332
Also, they are especially eager
to share their resources.

10:28.333 --> 10:30.374
Look at all the support we are receiving.

10:30.375 --> 10:31.999
I suspect that Captain Lawson will see

10:32.000 --> 10:34.041
that this was the right decision
in the end.

10:34.042 --> 10:36.291
Why, perhaps he'll even be pleased.

10:36.292 --> 10:38.292
[♪ suspenseful music playing]

10:39.208 --> 10:42.957
[Lieutenant Blake sighs]
Captain Brander Lawson

10:42.958 --> 10:45.625
wanted by the Empire for treason.

10:46.333 --> 10:49.541
Use of deadly force has been authorized.

10:49.542 --> 10:52.958
Careful to not follow
your superior's lead.

10:54.292 --> 10:57.624
[scoffs] Those are not
standard-issue, droid.

10:57.625 --> 10:58.958
Get rid of them.

10:59.917 --> 11:01.917
[♪ suspenseful music continues]

11:10.250 --> 11:12.416
[announcer over PA] Attention, citizens.

11:12.417 --> 11:16.167
Off-world travel has been
temporarily halted by order of the Empire.

11:17.042 --> 11:20.125
All civilian vessels are grounded
until further notice.

11:20.792 --> 11:23.000
[thudding]

11:25.250 --> 11:28.374
Off-world travel has been
temporarily halted by the order...

11:28.375 --> 11:30.458
The Empire now knows we are Jedi.

11:31.083 --> 11:34.374
They won't stop hunting us
even if we get out of the city.

11:34.375 --> 11:35.624
Yeah? You think?

11:35.625 --> 11:37.625
[announcement continues indistinctly]

11:39.250 --> 11:41.832
Well, then, where are we going, Lawson?

11:41.833 --> 11:44.833
I've got someone who might be able
to get us off the planet.

11:46.583 --> 11:49.917
She is not going
to be happy about it, though.

11:52.792 --> 11:53.916
[aliens chattering]

11:53.917 --> 11:56.500
[staff] Of course. Certainly.

11:57.875 --> 11:59.125
There you are.

12:00.000 --> 12:01.333
Wonderful to see you.

12:03.833 --> 12:04.833
[Sul sighs]

12:06.042 --> 12:07.291
Lawson.

12:07.292 --> 12:09.666
[speaking alien language]

12:09.667 --> 12:11.750
What did you do now?

12:12.917 --> 12:14.958
Long story.

12:15.292 --> 12:17.750
[sighs wearily] Follow me.

12:20.083 --> 12:22.083
[♪ suspenseful music playing]

12:26.875 --> 12:28.750
[speaking alien language]

12:33.833 --> 12:35.292
[devices whirring]

12:37.083 --> 12:38.583
Brought your kid, huh?

12:41.208 --> 12:44.082
And them? Do I even want to know?

12:44.083 --> 12:45.083
No.

12:45.708 --> 12:48.624
Rheena, we need transport off-world.

12:48.625 --> 12:49.999
Where?

12:50.000 --> 12:51.999
Somewhere the Empire is not.

12:52.000 --> 12:53.166
Good luck with that.

12:53.167 --> 12:55.541
With the kouhun's nest
that's been stirred up out there,

12:55.542 --> 12:57.833
there's heat on everyone right now.

13:01.958 --> 13:05.792
Hey, you know I wouldn't come to you
if I wasn't desperate.

13:08.042 --> 13:09.332
Please.

13:09.333 --> 13:10.333
[sighs in exasperation]

13:13.250 --> 13:14.750
I'll see what I can do.

13:17.333 --> 13:19.333
[♪ foreboding music playing]

13:26.333 --> 13:28.125
[Spybot] Impy's getting closer.

13:29.458 --> 13:31.083
Trashy droid.

13:33.917 --> 13:36.332
[Spybot speaking droid gibberish]

13:36.333 --> 13:39.624
Imperial troops engage targets
in Sector 9.

13:39.625 --> 13:41.625
[♪ foreboding music continues]

13:44.250 --> 13:47.707
You're going out there
to save the girl from the Jedi hunter.

13:47.708 --> 13:50.375
This is an opportunity.

13:50.958 --> 13:54.249
The strongest metal
is forged at the crucible.

13:54.250 --> 13:55.750
And if she fails?

13:57.542 --> 14:00.374
She need only prove her resilience,

14:00.375 --> 14:04.042
and she will find me her ally.

14:07.708 --> 14:09.707
[indistinct conversation]

14:09.708 --> 14:11.582
You know this woman?

14:11.583 --> 14:13.666
I've heard my dad mention her.

14:13.667 --> 14:16.333
They used to work together.
She's one of his informants.

14:17.000 --> 14:18.249
Supposedly.

14:18.250 --> 14:20.208
[indistinct conversation continues]

14:21.750 --> 14:23.750
Are you certain we can trust your friend?

14:24.292 --> 14:26.124
Sul and I go way back.

14:26.125 --> 14:29.916
Before I was a detective,
I traveled around a bit.

14:29.917 --> 14:32.000
She was a bounty hunter at the time.

14:32.792 --> 14:37.208
We got into a scrape on Catalor.
It went as bad as it can go.

14:38.167 --> 14:42.333
I'm only alive because of her,
and she's only alive because of me.

14:44.042 --> 14:45.457
[♪ ominous music playing]

14:45.458 --> 14:47.458
Rylee, time to go.

14:49.875 --> 14:52.542
Wait here. Let me handle this.

14:53.292 --> 14:56.208
And in case this gets messy, run.

14:58.458 --> 15:00.207
I'd get ready to run.

15:00.208 --> 15:02.416
[stormtrooper leader] Fan out.
Search and detain.

15:02.417 --> 15:03.792
May I help you?

15:04.458 --> 15:07.000
- I'm the owner of this establishment.
- [stormtrooper leader] With me.

15:07.958 --> 15:09.041
Did you not hear?

15:09.042 --> 15:11.500
Hey! Get your hands off me!

15:12.958 --> 15:14.458
[♪ ominous music continues]

15:16.750 --> 15:18.082
So much for that.

15:18.083 --> 15:19.624
Rylee, into the lift!

15:19.625 --> 15:20.874
[♪ tense music playing]

15:20.875 --> 15:22.166
[lightsaber whooshes]

15:22.167 --> 15:24.207
[stormtroopers screaming]

15:24.208 --> 15:25.624
You stay with Devon.

15:25.625 --> 15:28.208
- Dad! Dad!
- I'll be right behind you.

15:33.167 --> 15:34.332
What about my dad?

15:34.333 --> 15:36.667
We'll find your dad.
But right now we've got to go.

15:39.250 --> 15:41.416
[stormtrooper 1] Sector 5, send transport.

15:41.417 --> 15:44.624
[stormtrooper leader] Cover the exits!
Squads are engaging the fugitives inside.

15:44.625 --> 15:45.874
[stormtrooper 1] Acknowledged.

15:45.875 --> 15:47.958
[♪ tense music continues]

15:54.167 --> 15:56.083
[♪ sinister music playing]

16:02.292 --> 16:03.875
[♪ tense music playing]

16:12.625 --> 16:14.667
[♪ tense music continues]

16:17.000 --> 16:19.375
[stormtroopers groaning]

16:21.333 --> 16:23.083
Messy enough for you, Captain?

16:28.542 --> 16:30.416
- [stormtrooper 1] What?
- [stormtroopers groaning]

16:30.417 --> 16:31.625
[stormtrooper 2] There they are!

16:34.500 --> 16:35.667
Where's Rylee?

16:36.750 --> 16:39.249
Devon is well-trained.
She will protect your son.

16:39.250 --> 16:40.624
You have my word.

16:40.625 --> 16:43.374
Your word?
Is that supposed to make me feel better?

16:43.375 --> 16:45.208
- Yes.
- Well, it doesn't.

16:45.458 --> 16:47.458
[♪ tense music continues]

16:57.625 --> 16:59.083
[blasters firing]

17:05.042 --> 17:06.958
[Spybot] Oh. Hello.

17:09.292 --> 17:11.166
Going to find you.

17:11.167 --> 17:12.374
[laughs]

17:12.375 --> 17:13.958
Scan the chaos.

17:14.708 --> 17:16.124
[humming]

17:16.125 --> 17:17.125
Wait!

17:20.333 --> 17:21.416
Smile.

17:21.417 --> 17:23.083
[announcer over PA]
Please watch your step.

17:27.625 --> 17:29.332
We have to find my dad.

17:29.333 --> 17:31.542
- [lightsaber whooshes]
- [♪ sinister music playing]

17:32.000 --> 17:35.249
Keep moving! The... the train. Go!

17:35.250 --> 17:37.499
What? No. I... I can't leave you.

17:37.500 --> 17:39.208
Rylee, go! Go!

17:41.542 --> 17:43.917
[♪ tense music playing]

17:48.333 --> 17:49.333
[Devon grunts, yells]

17:54.042 --> 17:56.042
[♪ tense music continues]

18:06.417 --> 18:07.417
Devon!

18:08.583 --> 18:09.750
[Devon grunting]

18:13.083 --> 18:14.582
[lightsabers buzzing]

18:14.583 --> 18:15.583
[Devon straining]

18:20.875 --> 18:21.875
[Devon yells]

18:23.125 --> 18:24.833
[Devon grunting and yelling]

18:30.208 --> 18:31.208
[groans]

18:35.333 --> 18:36.333
[screams]

18:41.667 --> 18:43.292
[Devon grunting]

18:46.000 --> 18:47.667
[Devon straining]

18:48.375 --> 18:51.375
[Devon panting]

18:51.875 --> 18:53.292
[Marrok] Where is Maul?

18:53.958 --> 18:55.332
Tell me.

18:55.333 --> 18:56.874
I'm right here.

18:56.875 --> 18:58.375
[♪ dramatic music playing]

19:05.000 --> 19:07.958
[Marrok] So it's true. You live.

19:12.542 --> 19:14.542
[both grunting]

19:28.375 --> 19:30.125
[Marrok] You will all be dealt with.

19:33.250 --> 19:34.750
[Maul grunts]

19:43.958 --> 19:44.958
[Marrok grunts]

19:46.750 --> 19:48.417
[both grunting]

19:51.917 --> 19:52.917
[exhales deeply]

19:55.042 --> 19:57.042
[Maul chuckles, yells]

19:59.333 --> 20:01.582
[Maul straining]

20:01.583 --> 20:02.583
[Devon grunts]

20:08.750 --> 20:10.750
[♪ suspenseful music playing]

20:32.833 --> 20:36.250
Now you have seen the face
of your true enemy.

20:45.000 --> 20:46.792
[ships whirring]

20:51.167 --> 20:53.499
[♪ suspenseful music continues]

20:53.500 --> 20:54.750
[doors whirring]

20:59.333 --> 21:01.000
[hologram warbling]

21:01.542 --> 21:06.624
[Marrok] My Lord, I can confirm
the presence of Maul.

21:06.625 --> 21:10.417
He is more dangerous than we suspected.

21:11.083 --> 21:15.042
It seems he is in league with two Jedi.

21:15.542 --> 21:18.000
How shall I proceed?

21:28.708 --> 21:30.708
[♪ closing theme music playing]
